After quite a bit of search and research, I'm still not sure how to replace/re-architect around my dead Duet receiver. I have Fedora Linux and am a professional Perl and Linux guy, so I'm open to some fiddling, but can't commit to a new project.
Can I run the LMS on my Linux server, always Perl source as I have now, and fire up a squeezeslave on the same box (dont' know much about it) and use that as a player? I could get a highish-end audio DAC for my Linux machine and connect that to my stereo receiver. I like the duet's controller - don't know better perhaps, or I could use an android Orange Squeeze or Squeeze Commander to control LMS to send output to the squeezeslave+DAC.
Thanks
