SB3 drawing 14 watts when on, 5 when off

Hello,

I bought a used SB3, and noticed that the power supply got super-hot when it was on, and found that it's drawing over double the power (14 watts instead of ~5watts) as it should be. Any thoughts as to what to look for? It seems to work perfectly - except something is very very wrong for it to draw over 2 amps instead of right around one.
