I recently purchased a couple of UE smart radios. I've discovered that it's pretty easy to SSH into these things, and that the software appears to be written in lua... Vi is installed as well.
So, it should be really easy to mod these things? Has anyone tried this yet? I'd be curious to hear if anyone has pointers, or if there are existing patches to try out. I kind of wanted to fiddle with how favorites work a bit, and figure out how to add custom RSS feeds for podcasts.
I think I also read this stuff is open source? Is there a repo anywhere?
I have UE smart radio firmware installed right now, though my understanding is that it's not too hard to install squeezebox... I don't really know what squeezebox does that UE doesn't though. My understanding is squeezebox is less self contained and requires some kind of media server?
